A COMMUNITY HUB IN TEESSIDE

At Community Connectors we are keen to support our local community in any way we can.

We passionately believe that the people who are best placed to identify what their communities need are the people who live in them, and we want to empower local residents so that they are equipped to go out and be change makers.

We want anyone who lives in Teesside to be part of ongoing conversations, what does our community need, what can we do differently, what is working, what can be made better?

The Exchange is a place where such conversations can happen and so much more.

It is a public sitting room.

It is a place to relax.

It is where activists can connect and network.

It is a base for projects to be run from.

It can be a classroom, a meeting room, a temporary office space.

It is there to be used by Teesside residents for whatever they need it be.

We are open to hearing from anyone who loves their local community and has great ideas about what they want to see happening there. We want to support local activists and help them bring their dreams to life.

The Exchange is currently run by a small team of local Middlesbrough activists.

We have all been involved in various projects and have come together with a shared vision and passion to make real change happen in Teesside.

The Exchange is already hosting several projects started by our team and we hope in the future other activists and groups in need of a venue and space will consider using our unit.

Teesside is the home to many outstanding activists and community minded people who are passionate and committed to their localities.

By networking, liaising, sharing ideas and even resources we can all become stronger.
